I was introduced to music as a tiny tot in Burma. My father used to sing me to sleep but this ceased when we moved to East Africa in 1951 where I spent my formative years. In 1990 I was invited to go to the Tamworth Country Music Festival and my interest was sufficiently aroused to compel me to make a number of annual pilgrimages. I then found a number of Country Music Clubs in Brisbane and instead of being a spectator I was encouraged to sing. Vince and I visited Nashville and Memphis in 2004. We attended concerts by Willie Nelson, Ronnie Milsap and the Mavericks. Country music has played a prominent role in the tapestry of my life. I met Vince at a country music club in 1990 and the music itself has been invaluable therapy for me during life’s down times. I enjoy singing and hope that I will be able to continue doing this for a few more years yet.
